Wilpattu National Park is Sri Lanka’s largest and one of its most scenic wildlife reserves, renowned for its natural lakes, dense forests, and abundant biodiversity. Unlike many other parks, Wilpattu’s landscape is shaped by unique natural water basins known as “villus,” creating rich ecosystems that attract elephants, leopards, sloth bears, deer, crocodiles, and a wide variety of bird species.
